Open house at Dougherty Farmstead in Duvall

Please join the Duvall Historical Society, Sunday, June 5th, for the annual Dougherty Farmstead open house. This event will take place from 1-4 p.m., and is a family-friendly experience you won’t want to miss.

The Farmstead, located on Cherry Valley Road, is a jewel of Duvall and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Tours are given every Sunday May-September.

Fundraiser for young mother

Krystal Warwick is a 27-year-old mother of three young children. Just two weeks after the birth of her new baby, Warwick suffered a seizure and was diagnosed with a brain tumor. She is now undergoing chemotherapy and radiation. The expenses for this family are mounting rapidly. There will be a fundraiser at Julie Michaelson Training (17331 135th Ave. NE Suite B, Woodinville on May 14 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Participation is $20 with all proceeds going to the Warwick family. Participants, who are encouraged to solicit sponsors, will be able to choose between a variety of different workouts in which to participate. Donations above and beyond would be much appreciated. Childcare will be provided.

• Transforming your home with style and function

• Remodeling the kitchen

• Incorporating new design trends, materials and storage solutions

• Hiring the right professionals and getting the most from you home improvement dollars

Blood drive set for May 10
