KARIN HOPPER, General Manager

Karin’s extensive experience in graphic design, project and operations management, transitioned perfectly with the Weekly. As her children are of legal age and have both fell out of the nest, she currently lives in Woodinville with her goofy husband, spree mother-in-law and her female cat named Chuck, When not doing graphic design, scheduling and websites, you can find cooking, decorating and is currently restoring a 1905 historical property in Oregon.

RACHEL NEVARIL, Advertising Manager

Rachel, a Woodinville native, enjoys being a part of the Woodinville Weekly.  With her B.A. in Advertising, she assists businesses with their ads in the Woodinville Weekly, and loves to see them grow in the community.  In her spare time, she and her husband (Phil) like to work on projects together.  Their current project (most fun so far!) is the construction of their new home this year.  She also “wrangles” their 3 year old (Avery), 16 year old (Stone) and 19 year old (Luca, who’s currently away at CWU) with the help of strong coffee and good wine.  

KARA ROTH, Woodinville Weekly Editor/News Writer

Kara Potts Roth is joining the Woodinville Weekly as editor.  Roth grew up in Woodinville, graduating from Woodinville High School.  She earned her BA in Journalism from the University of Washington and her Masters in Business Administration from Indiana University.  She returned to Woodinville to raise her family in 2007 after living in Minnesota for ten years.  Two of her sons have graduated from Woodinville High School and her third son currently attends there. 

HEATHER STARK, Valley View Editor/News Writer

Long time valley resident Heather Stark is now Editor of the Valley View. Stark graduated from Kent State University with a BS in journalism, and went on to earn her MPA from University of Colorado, Denver. She has been a print reporter for a daily newspaper as well as magazines and periodicals, and spent many years as a news and traffic reporter for numerous Seattle radio stations. She has been active in several community organizations including Valley 104.9 Community Radio, Eastside BPW, and volunteers as a mentor and speaker regarding gendered violence and disabilities issues.

DAVID B. CLARK, Features Writer

David B. Clark contributes weekly articles on culture, news, and politics for The Woodinville Weekly, a community newspaper which publishes both online and in print. He is a staff writer for the Foundation team at Seattle Children's Hospital. Additionally, his work can be found in several travel and tourism magazines throughout the Pacific Northwest. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Metropolitan State University of Denver. He lives in Seattle.
