Police Beat - 11/20/17

ASSAULT, SIMPLE – NE 173RD PL
Altercation between two developmentally disabled adults.
 
BURGLARY, RESIDENTIAL NON-FORCED- 142ND AVE NE
Police responded to a 911 call reporting a disturbance. When the officers arrived, aid was on scene treating a male. According to the witness, she allowed the male and his girlfriend to spend the night at her apartment. At about 5:30 the girlfriend told the witness she had to go outside and not to lock the door behind her. A short time later the witness says she opened the door and two men wearing ski masks and carrying baseball bats came into the apartment. The men told her to “stay calm.” The witness went into her bedroom and said she heard some banging around. The witness waited in her room for a while and when she came out she saw her male friend laying on the couch with blood coming from his head. The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment. The King County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit is conducting the follow-up investigation.
 
LARCENY, SHOPLIFT – NE 178TH PLACE
The suspect stole numerous items which he said he was going to sell on-line.
 
CRIMINAL WARRANT, MISDEMEANOR – 131ST AVE NE
Suspect was arrested by Bothell PD for an outstanding $10,000 theft warrant. The suspect was booked into jail without incident.
 
LARCENY, TAKEN FROM AUTO – 136TH AVE NE
Unknown suspect(s) broke out a window to gain access to the vehicle and steal a purse in plain view.
 
TRESPASS – NE WOODINVILLE DUVALL ROAD
Individual trespassed for attempting to shoplift.
 
BURGLARY, RESIDENTIAL, NON-FORCED ENTRY
Unknown suspect(s) gained entry into home and stole items from within.
 
LARCENY, TAKEN FROM AUTO – 136TH AVE NE
Unknown suspect(s) broke out the window of the victim’s car and stole the purse she had secured underneath the passenger seat.
 
THEFT, AUTO – 127TH AVE NE
Unknown suspect(s) stole a trailer with two snowmobiles.
 
DRIVING WHILE LICENSE SUSPENDED – NE 178TH PL
Suspect arrested for Driving with a Suspended License after being stopped for driving the wrong way on a one-way street.

SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE – NE WOODINVILLE DR
Unknown person(s) left an obscene note on the victim’s vehicle.
 
CRIMINAL WARRANT, MISDEMEANOR – NE 171ST
Suspect arrested for multiple outstanding warrants.
 
VANDALISM – GARDEN WAY NE
Management called the police to trespass a suspected chronic shoplifter. The deputies found the suspect in the bathroom where he had attempted to take security measures off store property. He was cited for vandalism and given a criminal trespass warning.
 
LARCENY, TAKEN FROM AUTO – NE 183RD ST
Unknown suspect(s) rummaged through the victim’s car and took a backpack and miscellaneous other items.
 
LARCENY, TAKEN FROM AUTO – NE 171ST CT
Unknown suspect(s) gained access to the victim’s work vehicle and stole numerous items. It is unknown how the suspect(s) gained access to the vehicle as the doors were locked when the victim discovered the loss.

BURGLARY, COMMERCIAL FORCED ENTRY - NE 190TH ST
Unknown suspect(s) forced entry from exterior fenced area into gated area and vandalized a utility trailer.
 
LARCENY, SHOPLIFT – NE 175TH ST
The female suspect grabbed five North Face jackets and ran from the store without paying. The female quickly got into a waiting car and fled the area.
 
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE – NE 175TH ST
A male driver was stopped by a deputy doing traffic control for road construction. Ultimately, the male was arrested for DUI, driving with a suspended license, operating a vehicle without an interlock and misdemeanor warrants.
 
TRESPASS – NE 175TH ST
Employees called to report a possible car prowl in progress. When the deputies arrived, they found a woman had been sleeping inside an unlocked car that did not belong to her. The woman said she got into the vehicle to get out of the weather. Deputies had contacted this same woman the day prior and she said she was homeless.
 
TRESPASS – 140TH AVE NE
Security asked that skateboarders be trespassed from the parking garage  after they were asked but refused to leave.
 
CRIMINAL WARRANT, MISDEMEANOR – WOODINVILLE-SNOHOMISH ROAD
Deputies were getting gas when they noticed a vehicle drive into the area and then circle the deputies driving at about 5 miles per hour. The car then pulled in between the two patrol cars. One of the deputies saw open beer cans in both the driver and passenger cup holders. The driver had a warrant out of Renton and a warrant out of Shoreline for driving with a suspended license. He was arrested and booked into jail without incident.

LARCENY, SHOPLIFT – NE 175TH ST
Deputies were dispatched to investigate a trespass call. When they arrived, they contacted a woman who was ultimately arrested for an outstanding warrant. Deputies also recovered stolen property from a nearby store, an ORCA card belonging to someone else, and suspected narcotics. The woman was booked into jail without incident.
 
FRAUD – NE 166TH CT
The victim was contacted by a male on her cellphone. The male stated that he was an “officer with USCIS Immigrations.” He went on to tell the victim that she had not paid her immigration fee for her green card and owed $4,000.00 The male instructed her to go to the store and purchase $4,000.00 in iTunes gift cards. The victim then read all the gift card numbers over the phone to the male. When the victim arrived home, she received a second phone call, this time from a female. The woman told the victim that she needed to pay the same amount for her husband. The victim went to the bank and withdrew an additional $4,000.00. At this point, the victim realized she was being scammed and called iTunes. Unfortunately, since she had already given the numbers of the gift cards to the suspect the funds had been spent.
 
TRESPASS – NE WOODINVILLE-DUVALL ROAD
Employees asked that a chronic shoplifted be trespassed from the store.
 
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE – NE WOODINVILLE-DUVALL RD
The reporting party called to report that a male was outside the business acting suspiciously and yelling for no apparent reason. Deputies arrived at which point the male began to quickly walk away. The male had uncontrollable hand and arm movements and appeared to be under the influence of some type of narcotic. At one point, the male appeared to fall asleep while standing up. The male said he was currently “couch surfing” and staying with a friend in Woodinville.
 
BURGLARY, COMMERCIAL, FORCED ENTRY – 139TH AVE NE
Unknown suspect(s) forced open the front door of the business and ransacked drawers. At this point, it does not appear anything was taken.

Theft of bicycle from back patio.

LARCENY, SHOPLIFT – NE 178TH PL
Store security identified a prolific thief via video surveillance stealing an item. The suspect will be charged with the theft via investigation.
 
CRIMINAL WARRANT, MISDEMEANOR – NE WOODINVILLE-DUVALL ROAD
Male booked for numer-ous outstanding warrants.
 
LARCENY, TAKEN FROM BUSINESS – 140TH AVE NE
Unknown suspect(s) stole the victim’s phone which he had set down on the front counter while talking with store employees.
 
LARCENY, TAKEN FROM AUTO – WOODINVILLE-REDMOND ROAD
Per the victim he left a bank bag of cash underneath the front seat of his car and is not sure if he locked it. When he returned unknown suspect(s) had stolen the bag and contents. No signs of forced entry.
 
LARCENY, COMMERCIAL, F/E – NE WOODINVILLE-DUVALL ROAD
Unknown suspect(s) stole a lawnmower from a locked fenced area.
 
FRAUD – 189TH AVE NE
Per the victim unknown suspect(s) obtained her social security information and opened at least one bank account in her name. A second attempt to open yet another bank account was attempted without success. The suspect(s) also changed her home address. The victim has contacted the Post Office and fraud alerts have been placed on her accounts etc.
 
CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE VIOLATION – NE 184TH PL
Subject sent to the hospital for being a danger to himself/others. Prior to transport via ambulance deputies recovered suspected methamphetamine in his pocket.
 
LARCENY, SHOPLIFT – NE 178TH PL
Male stopped for attempting to leave the store without paying for alcohol.
 
LARCENY, SHOPLIFT – NE WOODINVILLE DUVAL ROAD
Subject stopped outside for shoplifting, property recovered.
 
LARCENY, OTHER – 131ST PL NE
Unknown person(s) stole the victim’s cast iron bench sometime overnight off the front porch.
 
LARCENY, TAKEN FROM AUTO – NE 189TH PL
Unknown suspect(s) entered three unlocked vehicles and rummaged through the glove boxes. Nothing was taken. This happened sometime overnight.
 
LARCENY, TAKEN FROM AUTO – 135TH AVE NE
Unknown suspect(s) entered the victim’s car via the rolled down window(s) and stole coins from the console area.
 
LARCENY, TAKEN FROM AUTO – 143RD CT
Sometime overnight unknown suspect(s) entered the victim’s car and took numerous items.
 
MENTAL COMPLAINTS – 135TH AVE NE
Deputies responded to investigate a 911 call. Per the reporting party the victim was experiencing a mental health breakdown. The victim was screaming and hitting herself in the head and attempting to jump through the bedroom glass window which was closed. The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment.
