Woodinville artist Janci Mannington was recently juried into the Women Painters of Washington, an organization of women artists from around the state that was originally founded in 1930.
She is currently showing her work at the Women Painters of Washington Gallery in the Columbia Tower in downtown Seattle. Mannington’s most recent paintings are inspired by her love for nature and the beauty of Northwest gardens.
Her large-scale canvases are filled with engaging close-ups of nature, especially flowers. Her attention to composition and dramatic lighting create powerful images in which her canvases feel as if they are glowing from within.
Mannington’s work can be viewed at the Columbia Tower from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. weekdays through the end of October.
