Carnation teen Bayley Maxcy, a professional scooter rider, recently qualified for the ISA World Final Competition in Spain on June 13-14.

Only 15 Americans qualify for this competition (he is the only Washington resident to qualify) and he will be competing with the top 50 riders worldwide in Barcelona, Spain at Extreme Barcelona.

There will be 40,000 spectators and it is televised worldwide to millions, she added.

Bayley attended Carnation Elementary, Tolt Middle School and Cedarcrest High for two years before transferring to CLIP high school so he could more easily pursue his sport.

He just graduated and will turn 18 years old while in Spain. Rebecca says he has been practicing scootering since the age of 13.

Prior to scootering he played baseball for Snoqualmie Valley Little League and soccer with SnVYSA and Cascade Select.
Since discovering scootering he has devoted all of his spare time to practicing his tricks and competing nationally, noted Rebecca.

He is sponsored by Lucky Scooters, out of Redmond.
