Fresh Fashion: From garden to closet

  • Written by Molbaks garden+home

We’ve all heard of “garden-to-table,” but Molbak’s would like to introduce you to a new spring trend for 2015: garden-to-closet. We’re not suggesting that you weave a dress out of palm fronds. Instead, we’re inviting you to let your garden help you shape your style this spring. So take some tips from Mother Nature. As it turns out, she’s quite the fashionista.

•    Tidy up. First step, weeding. Go through your closet. If you haven’t worn something in a year, toss it in the recycling bin. Make room for things you truly love.

•    Define your style. Think about your favorite flower. Is it a delicate sweet pea? A bold, geometric peony? An exotic orchid? Let the colors, styles and shapes that you adore in nature guide your fashion choices as well.

•    Add a pop. Like that first brilliant bloom of spring, a well-chosen accessory can really capture the eye. It may be small, but it’s amazing how big a statement a colorful scarf or a bold handbag can make.

•    Have fun. Whether you’re working in your garden, or refreshing your wardrobe, it’s all about celebrating beauty and creativity, experimenting, and having fun.

Speaking of fun, you’re invited to Spring Style: Molbak’s Food & Fashion Event on March 21 from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.
We’ve lined up some wonderfully stylish experts to share their favorite spring fashions, flavors and fragrance trends with you. So join us! Details at Free.
