The Woodinville Insider: Summer Is For Celebrating

  • Written by Woodinville Wine Country

Take it outside. For the next two months, that’s the top priority at nearly every Woodinville winery and tasting room. Summer is such a preciously short season here that we take every opportunity to bask in it. And around here, proper basking is done with a cool Chardonnay, a rich red or a hoppy IPA in hand. Add some live music and a riverside park and you’ve got the perfect summer evening trifecta: wine, weather and song.

The Celebrate Woodinville Concerts are a series of five free music shows throughout July and August. Hosted every Wednesday evening along the Sammamish River at beautiful Wilmot Gateway Park, these concerts provide the perfect excuse for mid-week merrymaking. Taste, sip and enjoy a changing menu of select wines and brews while drinking in the gorgeous setting and eclectic sounds. Each event features a wine and beer garden offering glass pours of reds and whites or pints of ales and lagers from premiere Woodinville Wine Country wineries, tasting rooms and brewers. This is what summer in Woodinville is all about!

With over 20 wineries, 6 brewers and a cidery participating throughout July and August, Celebrate Woodinville Concerts offer a festive alternative to the typical tasting experience. It’s a great change of pace and venue for sampling some of the finest adult libations in the state. Wine and beer tickets will be on sale from 5:30 p.m. to 7:35 p.m., and last pour is at 7:50 p.m. These are family-friendly, eco-friendly events, so bring your ID, your kids and your own glass (or purchase one there). Most importantly, bring a thirst for serious summer fun and the best in Washington beverages.
