Sylvia Zerbini is returning to Woodinville at Topline Equestrian Centre Sept. 28, 29 and 30 for her third and final clinic for 2012 in western Washington.
Zerbini most recently spent four years with the acclaimed equestrian spectacle, Cavalia, where she performed with eight to 10 horses at liberty. She is a ninth generation performer who has been working with horses her whole life.
She will be appearing at the Arabian Nationals in Tulsa, Okla., at the end of October.
Zerbini’s approach is that of understanding the horse’s language. When horses understand something they enjoy giving us pleasure. They feel our positive energy and they enjoy it.
“It is about the bond. I listen to everything they tell me,” she says with a smile.
She feels that every horse owner, whatever the discipline, should have the beginning of liberty with their horse.
One should be able to circle their horse without a longe line, have them come to you, circle around you, stop, and back up.
All this should be done with just your energy, your body position and your body movement.
This is what the participants at the clinic at Topline have been learning and continued progress in the work can be seen.
The horses love the one-on-one communication and respond enthusiastically.
Auditing space and lesson space is available as is boarding space. Go to www.Toplineequestriancentre.com for more info about the clinic.
