It’s red carpet season in Hollywood. You know, that time of year when people who watch the bevy of awards shows often wistfully look at the glamorously dressed stars, with perfect hair and glowing skin, and wish that they, too, could look like that … even for just a day.
Luckily, you will be able to get that glowing red carpet quality skin at The Spa at Willows Lodge beginning March 1 when they start offering Intraceuticals oxygen infusion facials to clients.
Guests who wish to indulge in this new treatment can book a March appointment now, though.
Intraceutical facial treatments have become the premier oxygen facial for a simple reason: they work. It is the only treatment in the world that uses oxygen under pressure to deliver a special serum of low molecular weight hyaluronic acid, essential vitamins, botanicals, antioxidants and peptides to the skin. With just one treatment, skin is visibly and undeniably younger and firmer.
To test out this new kind of oxygen facial treatment, I volunteered to be a guinea pig for our readers. It was a sacrifice I was only too willing to make.
Cassie Hart-Miller, of Intraceuticals, explained that my middle-aged skin would instantly look younger with fewer fine lines before starting the procedure that would involve using a special tool that uses oxygen to infuse their special serum into my skin, thereby plumping it up.
To prove she was right, she performed the facial on the right half of my face then had me sit up and look at my face in the mirror where I could only see the left side of my face yet to have the facial – the pre-shot if you will. She removed a card covering the right side of my face, and I confess I blurted a mild expletive because I was so shocked at the results on the right side of my face.
I felt like I looked at least five years younger. Gone was the fine laugh line along the side of my face from my nose to my mouth. My skin looked more radiant and full. I became a believer instantly.
Spa manager Gwenna Eckert is excited about this new treatment for clients. “We are the first facility to bring Intraceuticals facials to clients on the Eastside,” she said.
Indeed, Hart-Miller explained that the facial treatment is currently only available at a handful of locations in downtown Seattle.
The Intraceutical Infusion facials are recommended for anyone over the age of 20, explained Hart-Miller, because skin begins to lose elasticity and begins to show the effects of aging and environment after age 20.
Who would be an ideal client for an Intraceuticals facial? Hart-Miller recommended anyone getting ready for a special event, like a wedding or a big job interview when looking your best is paramount.
The effects of the facial treatment last about a week, but for those who wish to maintain their newfound youthful appearance can consider having a facial treatment once a week for six weeks, followed up by monthly treatments.
The Spa at Willows Lodge will be offering a choice of four treatments and take-home care products that Intraceuticals offers to help maintain the full effects of treatment, whose results rival those of any procedure. Intraceuticals Treatments available include the Rejuvenate, Opulence, Atoxelene, and Red Carpet Facials.
The services range in price from $75 for the 45-minute Atoxelene treatment which focuses on targeting expression lines and wrinkles while re-firming and re-filling under the eye and contouring lips to the 90-minute Red Carpet Facial which combines the Intraceutical treatment with two of the Spa’s other treatments for $250.
