The Kenmore City art collection began in 1999, one year after incorporation with a gift from the Arts of Kenmore. The city and the Arts of Kenmore began joint funding of art purchases for the city collection in 2007, each contributing $500. Today a total of 22 works of art, purchased at the Kenmore Art Show, are part of the city collection. The art includes paintings and drawings in mixed media, pastel, watercolors, colored pencil, encaustic, acrylic and oil. The city sculpture collection includes pieces made in wood, marble, recycled steel, brucite and bronze. One textile wall hanging is also part of the city collection.
