  • Written by Woodinville Weekly Staff

Congregation Kol Ami, a Reform congregation, is hosting a series of Shabbat services dedicated to cultivating a love of Israel and a love of the Jewish people. Local community leaders have been invited to speak about what love of Israel means in their personal lives. The first in the speaker series is Rob Jacobs, director of Stand with Us Northwest. Jacobs will speak at a Kabbalat Shabbat service on Sept. 5 at 7:30 p.m. Keith Dvorchik, president and CEO of the Jewish Federation of Seattle, will speak on Nov. 21, and Barbara Lahav, financial director of J Street Northwest, will speak on Dec. 5.

These services are open to all. A festive oneg Shabbat (reception) will follow each service. They will be held at the Temple, 16530 Avondale Road NE, Woodinville, just North of Redmond PCC.
