Meet “One W,” the green and white circular logo you are bound to see circulating around town. In fact, you may be seeing it a lot in the future. The brainchild of local business owner Jeff Thomas with the help of Woodinville Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Dave Witt, it was unveiled to the public at Thursday’s Chamber luncheon held at Molbak’s.
“One W,” or “One Woodinville,” is a non-partisan feel-good-about-your-city symbol thematic of a positive group of local residents, families and businesspeople dedicated to creating a unified vision of Woodinville — and then making it happen by the year 2020.“It’s a campaign to find a unifying vision for this town,” Thomas told the assemblage which included some of the city’s heavier business hitters, “so that all the differences we have can go under the same umbrella. It doesn’t matter where you are politically, it doesn’t matter where you live, it doesn’t matter where you work. The fact is that everybody here is invested in the future of Woodinville and share a vision. The whole point of ‘One W’ is we’ve got to move together as one.”
Free stickers and decals, while supplies last, are available at the new visitors’ center in the offices of the Chamber of Commerce located in the Carol Edwards Center, and at Crossroad SIGN located at 13406 NE 177th Place in Woodinville.
