Those in attendance at the Woodinville Chamber’s Salute Woodinville dinner and auction “raised the paddle” to establish the Greater Woodinville Chamber of Commerce Scholarship through the Northshore Scholarship Foundation.
Kicked off with a matching grant of $1,500 from the Woodinville Rotary Club, $12,050 was raised in a matter of minutes to begin funding an endowment that will annually award a scholarship to a student from Woodinville. The student will be pursuing a degree in business, marketing, finance or a related entrepreneurial field.
This investment in the future business leaders and innovators of our community furthers the Chamber’s goal of promoting a vibrant and growing local economy.
Later this spring, the Greater Woodinville Chamber of Commerce Scholarship will be the 1,500th scholarship awarded by the Northshore Scholarship Foundation.
This first-ever Chamber scholarship in the amount of $1,500 will be awarded to a deserving student on May 21 at the annual Northshore Scholarship Foundation’s recognition breakfast.
John Hughes, the Foundation’s executive director, informed attendees at the auction that the Chamber’s scholarship will be the first awarded at the breakfast to honor and celebrate the Chamber’s commitment to invest in the next generation of business leaders.
If you were unable to attend the auction but would like to contribute to the Chamber’s scholarship endowment, you can still send a check to the Northshore Scholarship Foundation at PO Box 173, Bothell 98041.
Please note “Greater Woodinville Chamber of Commerce Scholarship” in the memo line of your check.
