Sammamish Valley Celebration of Lavender and the Arts

  • Written by Woodinville Weekly Staff

July in the lush Sammamish Valley brings the second annual celebration of all things lavender! Visit and tour the Valley’s working farms and lavender fields, see essential oil distillation demonstrations, learn about growing lavender at home, try your hand at lavender crafts, take home a lavender bouquet, view the creations of local artists and engage with farmers, chefs and artisans at work. Shop and sample all things lavender, from cheese and ice cream to fabric and skin care. You will find that lavender and art make a great combination, and it can all be found in the beautiful Sammamish Valley.

The participating farms and businesses include 21 Acres, Apple Farm Village, BarnPlace Farm, Dr. Maze’s Farm, Gathering Fabric Quilt Shop, Minea Farm and Woodinville Lavender. Each location will have its own schedule of events during the valley celebration. All ages are welcome and some activities are free. Visit for more information and links to each farm and business.

The second annual Sammamish Valley Celebration of Lavender and the Arts will be held July 11 through 13, following the Mother’s Day Celebration held this spring. Mark your calendars for the Fall Harvest Celebration in the Sammamish Valley September 26 through 28.
