Haggen Invites Customers to Join in Supporting Local Schools

Haggen’s semi-annual fundraising drive has kicked off to provide supplies and project materials to local classrooms through its partnership with Haggen will match customer donations up to $20,000 until January 30, with the goal of providing funds to every request posted by local teachers on the site.
To date, Haggen has funded more than 616 projects totaling more than $195,000 at 303 schools, impacting more than 47,000 students in the communities surrounding its stores. The projects span all ages and subjects and inspire students to think in creative new ways. Examples of the hundreds of impacted projects include:

Building Social Skills:  Second-graders receive reading materials aimed to help them develop social skills and a growth mindset.  Laura Ingalls Wilder Elementary School, Woodinville
Flexible Seating for Busy Learners:  Busy Kindergarteners need a variety of seating options for reading time to help them stay focused. Kokanee Elementary School, Woodinville
Haggen depends on generous customer donations to help fund these important, creative projects to develop the children in community schools. Customers can donate in any increment at their Haggen cash register through Tuesday, January 30. Haggen will match and allocate the donations to schools located near their stores. Customer donations will be distributed to schools near the store where the donation is made.
