EvergreenHealth to provide convenient mobile mammograms at DeLille Cellars Carriage House  (14421 Woodinville-Redmond Rd NE, Woodinville) on Thursday, October 4th from 2-7 p.m.
In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month this October, EvergreenHealth and DeLille Cellars are partnering to offer Eastside women a chance to sip Northwest wines, while checking the box on one of the most important screenings for detecting the earliest signs of breast cancer.
The ‘Wine’ Not Now? event encourages the community to come together to ‘Take a Bite out of Breast Cancer’ by receiving a routine screening mammogram and learning about the importance of early detection and regular screenings. The convenient, private and hassle-free exams will take about 20 minutes, and participants are welcome to enjoy complimentary treats and wine tastings during the winery’s extended hours.
EvergreenHealth’s certified radiologic technologists and board-certified radiologists will be on site from 2-7 p.m. to perform the exams and interpret the images in the Mobile Mammography Coach. The coach provides the same digital 3-D mammography technology offered at the EvergreenHealth Medical Center, which provides state-of-the-art images that can identify even the smallest of abnormalities.
Appointments can be scheduled in advance online or by calling 425.899.2831, and walk-ins are also welcome. Those who plan to receive a screening are asked to bring a picture ID and current insurance card.
