Woodinville Police Beat May 8-May 15

VEHICLE PROWL #1

17400 BLOCK OF 135 AVE NE: On May 8 at 11:15 a.m., deputies took a report of vandalism to a vehicle. The owners found that during the night someone damaged the door locks on a work van while trying to enter it.

VEHICLE PROWL #2 

13300 BLOCK OF NE 171 STREET: On May 9 at 9:06 p.m., deputies were dispatched to a vehicle prowl. The owner was notified by her bank that someone had illegally passed one of her checks, which she had in her car.

 PHYSICAL CONTROL

15600 BLOCK OF NE WOODINVILLE-DUVALL ROAD: On May 10 at around 5:51 p.m., deputies contacted a female who appeared intoxicated sitting in the driver’s seat of a car. She was subsequently arrested and booked into jail.

VEHICLE THEFT

14100 BLOCK OF NE 179 STREET: On May 13 at approximately 7:46 a.m., deputies were dispatched to take a stolen vehicle report. During the night, the victim’s truck was stolen from its stall in his complex parking lot.

IDENTITY FRAUD

VARIOUS LOCATIONS: Several residents in the city report Identity Theft. Unknown persons have applied for unemployment benefits in the victim’s names.

 LARCENY VEHICLE THEFT

17300 BLOCK OF 131 AVE NE: On May 13 at around 11:00 a.m., deputies took a report of a vehicle prowl. The victim left debit and identification cards on the console of her vehicle while she played with her children at a park. She is unsure if she locked her car. She began getting alert notices from her bank that her card was used at various businesses in surrounding cities.

FAMILY DISTURBANCE

13700 BLOCK OF NE 175 STREET: On May 13 at 3:28 p.m., deputies responded to a disturbance between an estranged husband and wife over child custody issues.

 MAIL THEFT 

14000 BLOCK OF NE 181 STREET: On May 14 at approximately 1:13 p.m., deputies took a report of possible mail theft. A community mailbox for a condominium complex was pried open.

LARCENY SHOP LIFT 

14000 BLOCK OF NE WOODINVILLE-DUVALL ROAD: On May 14 at 3:38 p.m., deputies were dispatched to a shoplift that just occurred at a business. Two persons reportedly stole some small electronics and fled. Deputies located the suspects who were identified by store employees. The property was returned and the store did not want to prosecute.

BURGLARY #1

12400 BLOCK OF NE 160 STREET: On May 14 at 8:01 p.m., deputies were dispatched to a burglary call. The reporting party said that he left his residence during the evening and when he returned in the morning, he found that his garage door was open and his snowboard was missing.

BURGLARY #2

12500 BLOCK OF NE 153 PLACE: On May 15 at approximately 4:23 a.m., deputies were called to investigate an alarm at a residence. The homeowner reported that he found a window and a sliding glass door open. Deputies checked the area with negative results. 

BICYCLE THEFT

14000 BLOCK OF NE 181 STREET: On May 15 at around 1:30 p.m., deputies took a report of a theft of a bicycle from an apartment complex lot.
