Police Beat - April 29, 2019

WELFARE CHECK - NE 175TH ST.
Deputies checked on a confused senior citizen wandering in the area. She was identified and returned home via aid car.
 
CIVIL PROCESS AND SUBPOENAS
Deputy contacted female walking on the side of the road, causing a hazard. She was found to have a NO Bail Warrant for Apprehension, issued by the Department of Mental Health Services. The woman had walked/run away from a Mental Health Facility. She was transported to the hospital.
 
ROBBERY, CHAIN STORE - NE WOODINVILLE DUVALL ROAD
Deputies were dispatched to an in-progress armed robbery. The deputies arrived within two minutes and were advised that a male had entered the store, pointed a handgun at the clerk and demanded cash. The King County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit is conducting the follow-up investigation.
 
PERSON LOST/FOUND - WOODINVILLE SNOHOMISH ROAD
Passerby called 911 to report a vehicle on the side of the road occupied by an elderly female. A deputy contacted her and determined she was a missing person from Pierce County. Re-united with family.
 
LARCENY, TAKEN FROM VEHICLENE - 179TH ST
Victim left his vehicle parked and locked in parking lot. Unknown suspect(s) gained entry (unknown how) and stole property from inside car.
 
SHOPLIFT - GARDEN WAY
Suspect stopped by store security after leaving store with a full cart of groceries without paying for them.
 
ASSAULT - NW 175TH ST.
Deputy dispatched to a man down call. When the deputy arrived, he contacted an older male sitting on the ground. The males face was swollen around his eyes and he had blood on his face. The victim, a local transient is known to the deputy and appeared to be intoxicated.  The victim stated that he was “sucker punched” the night prior but was unable to identify a suspect. The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment. This case is under investigation.
 
VANDALISM - NE 175TH ST
A citizens called in a vandalism in progress and reported that three subjects around a utility box. A female with red hair was spray painting the box. The citizen was able to take a photograph of the suspect. This case is under investigation.
 
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - GARDEN WAY NE
Deputies contacted a driver and passenger (passed out) of a suspicious vehicle. Deputies confiscated a meth pipe for disposal.
 
TRESPASS - 129TH AVE NE
Deputies received confirmation and permission from Home Owners Association to trespass folks living in the wooded area. Deputies walked down into the area in question and found the tents gone but garbage and cooking utensils left behind, as well as evidence that small fires had been set in the encampment.
 
LARCENY, TAKEN FROM VEHICLENE - 145TH
Deputies responded to report of several vehicles that had been broken into. Forced entry with property taken.
