Woodinville HS Looking for Assistant Soccer Coach

  • Written by Derek Johnson

The Woodinville Falcons are searching for an assistant soccer coach for their men's and women's teams and JV teams. The position became available after longtime coach Sully Hester stepped down recently.

"Hopefully it'll be someone with experience, but I want someone with a lot of energy," Falcons head coach Nathan Davis said. "The high school season is completely different from club soccer or select soccer. Club and select play two times a week and maybe a tourney once in awhile. Whereas the high school season is 5-6 days a week for two and half months. It can be a long season. So I am looking for someone with a lot of energy and who is very excited to get in there to help develop basic skills for some of the JV girls [this fall]. Someone who is willing work with me and isn't afraid to voice their opinion because I don't want a coach who is going to be a `yes man'. I want someone to bounce ideas off of... It doesn't matter if they are a man or a woman."

Player tryouts start on Aug 25th. To apply for the position, go to the Northshore School District's website   and look under "classified positions".
