EMMEN, NETHERLANDS – Woodinville’s Aaron Keith captured his first world title since 2014 in the men’s C1 individual time trial Thursday, Sept. 12, leading Team USA to a trio of medals on the second day of competition at the 2019 UCI Para-cycling Road World Championships in Emmen, Netherlands.

“It’s been a long time since I won my last world championship in 2014 so it’s sweet because the first one I didn’t appreciate as much, so I definitely value this one a lot," Keith said. "It takes a tremendous amount of hard work to get to this level and stay here so it’s been a tough journey but well worth it.”

Keith finished with a time of 29:30.71 to win Team USA’s first gold medal of the competition.
