The young and inexperienced group of Woodinville wrestlers showed a lot of grit matching up with a heavy-laden roster of boys from Juanita and Lake Washington High Schools in the back gym at WHS.

They were out-matched and all were novices in the sport, and very few victories were recorded on the night, but there was no quit in them. The team dropped both matches, still, Coach Christensen was encouraged with their performance.

“We haven’t had girl wrestlers at the high school in the past nine years, so this is basically a new program,” Christensen said. “The girls are young and green, but are starting to have some success.”
