  • Written by Valley View Staff
Each year Washington State Parks has several free days when the Discover Pass is not required to visit a state park.  It is a perfect time to check out all the greatness that these parks have to offer!  For 2019 the dates are as follows:
Jan. 21— Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
March 19 — State Park’s 105th birthday
April 20— Spring day
April 22 — Earth Day
June 1 — National Trails Day
June 8 — National Get Outdoors Day (State Parks and Fish & Wildlife free day)
June 9 — Fishing Day (State Parks and Fish & Wildlife free day)
Aug. 25 — National Park Service 102nd Birthday
Sept. 28— National Public Lands Day
Nov. 11 — Veterans Day
Nov. 29— Autumn day
The free days apply only to day use (not overnight stays or rented facilities). A Discover Pass will still be required on these days to access lands managed by the Washington State Department of Natural Resources and the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife.
