Fireworks- 0/01/2019 @ 12:06AM near the 26500 block of NE Kennedy Drive: Officer educated some citizens on the city ordnance involving fireworks. Citizens agreed to stop lighting fireworks off and clean up the mess.
Criminal driver’s license violation- 01/04/2019 @ 1:08PM near 15900 block of Main Street NE: Officers stopped a vehicle and after investigating, determined the driver had a suspended license. Due to current city filing standards the driver was not arrested and was issued an infraction for NVOL.
 
Other criminal traffic- 01/05/2019 @ 8:27AM near the 29200 block of NE Big Rock Road: Officer stopped a vehicle and after investigating, determined the driver failed to transfer the title within 45 days. The officer was nice and provided the driver with a verbal warning. Remember: the job’s not done till the paperwork is finished.
 
Animal problem- 01/05/2019 @ 9:51AM near the 26500 block of NE Cherry Valley Road: Officers were dispatched to an escaped bovine. Officers located said bovine and convinced it to return to its residence despite its need to get out and see the world.
 
Traffic hazard other- 01/05/2019 @ 10:21PM near the 26800 block of NE 143rd Place: Citizen reporting possible traffic hazard, a truck and trailer blocking portion of the roadway. Officer stopped by the home of truck owner and asked if it could be moved a skosh more to the shoulder. The owner stated it was not a problem and moved the truck. Hazard gone.
 
Assault DV- 01/06/2019 @ 2:31PM near the 27300 block of NE 150th Street: Officers responded to a physical fight between brothers. Officers arrested the brother they believed to be the primary aggressor. The arrested brother was transported to Issaquah Jail.  If you or someone you know needs resources, the Duvall Police Department has a DV information and resource guide with numerous resource. 
 
Assault DV- 01/07/2019 @ 10:47PM near the 27700 block of Manion Way NE: Officers responded to a reported DV verbal and discovered there were physical confrontations. One person was taken to Issaquah Jail. The National Domestic Violence Hotline number is 1-800-799-SAFE.
 
Animal problem- 01/08/2019 @ 11:16AM near the 26500 block of NE Cherry Valley Road: Officer responded to a report of cows loose. Officer was able to chase the cow back into the fenced in field. Officer helped repair the fence where there were holes. Hmm…Wasn’t there an escaped bovine in these parts a couple days ago?
 
Misdemeanor warrant- 01/08/2019 @ 11:38Pm near the 15100 block of Manion Way NE: Officer took a male subject into custody by placing him in handcuffs after he was discovered to have a warrant out of Edmonds. The subject was released after Snohomish County Jail declined to accept him because of medical and recent drug use.
 
Agency assist- 01/10/2019 @ 9:46AM near the intersection of NE Woodinville-Duvall Road and West Snoqualmie Valley Road: A citizen came into the Duvall Police Department and advised officers there was a motorcycle down on the ground in King County. Officers responded with Duvall Fire, and once KCSO arrived on scene all information was passed onto the deputy.
 
Vehicle license infraction- 01/10/2019 @ 7:42PM near the intersection of 3rd Ave. NE/NE Anderson Street: Officer conducted a traffic stop for speeding. Driver had a suspended license. Driver was cited.
 
Assault- 01/11/2019 @ 11:28AM near the 26600 block of NE Park Street: Officers were dispatched to a possible fight. Upon arrival, contact was made with parties involved with a fight. Neither party wished to pursue charges of assault. Reporting party turned over drugs for destruction
 
Theft- 01/12/2019 @ 5:28PM near the 15900 block of 3rd Ave. NE: Officer received a voicemail from a citizen who wanted to report his vehicle license plates were stolen. Officer arrived and determined the license plates had been switched with two other license plates. The switched plates were taken and the stolen plates were entered as stolen.
 
Fire/EMS assist- 01/13/2019 @ 11:22PM near the 28000 block of NE 142nd Place: Duvall Officers along with Duvall Fire responding to CPR in progress at local mobile home park. Officers arrived first to lead FD45 into the residence where a life was restored to a local citizen. These life savers never seek a back slap or ribbons, they have always performed with professionalism and compassion. It has been a pleasure the last couple decades to serve with these Fire Fighters and Medics, a true example of what a modern day HERO looks like.
 
Verbal DV- 01/16/2019 @ 11:45AM near the 16000 block of 2nd Ave. NE: Officers were called to a possible physical domestic violence call. After interviewing the involved parties, officers determined there was no physical assault. A report was taken for documentation, and the involved parties were provided information on helpful resources. The parties agreed to separate for the day.
 
Felony warrant- 01/16/2019 @ 3:23PM near the 26400 block of NE Virginia Street: While on patrol officer spotted a subject known to have a felony warrant for his arrest. Officers contacted the subject, and took him into custody. The subject was later booked into King County Jail.
 
Verbal DV- 01/19/2019 @ 5:27PM near the 26600 block of NE Stephens Street: Officers were dispatched to a possible suicidal subject. Officer contacted the reporting party who had a story that did not make sense and after speaking with him determined he only wanted his girlfriend to leave the residence. Officers responded to residence and contacted girlfriend who said she wanted to leave and go to LA. She was provided with a DV packet and did not make any suicidal statements. Officer will document incident.
 
Verbal DV- 01/21/2019 @ 2:26AM near the 26700 block of NE Virginia Street: Wife calling 911 due to intoxicated husband yelling and throwing things around the house. Officers arrived and de-escalated the situation. The situation was verbal in nature and the husband was given a ride to a family member’s home. It appeared as if Officers may have stopped the male from driving away from the home.
 
Civil standby- 01/22/2019 @ 8:05AM near the 27700 block of NE 146th Way: Officers were dispatched to an unwanted person call. Officers determined it was an ex-husband wanting to retrieve his belongings from his residence. Officer stood by until the parties reached an agreement to move forward.
 
Verbal DV- 01/22/2019 @ 7:57PM near the 28000 block of NE 142nd Place: Officers responded to a residence and talked with a mother and son. The son wanted to read on his phone and the mother wanted help parenting.
 
Residential alarm- 01/23/2019 @ 12:25AM near the 26500 block of NE 146th Place: Officers responded to a residential alarm. Officers checked the exterior and interior and found the residence to be secure.  Cats… that is all!
 
Directed speed- 01/25/2019 @ 7:09AM near the 15200 block of Manion Way: Officer conducted speed enforcement on a roadway where there had been complaints about speeding. After observing 40+ cars, the fastest speed observed was 5 MPH over the speed limit. Now if they will only drive like that when the officer isn’t watching.
 
Verbal DV- 01/26/2019 @ 7:53 near the 28000 block of NE 142nd Place: Officers were dispatched to a verbal domestic violence report between a mother and her son. Officer arrived and contact both the mother and son who said they had gotten into a verbal argument over a cell phone. The son wanted to read on his phone and the mother wanting assisting in parenting. The son left the residence to spend time with his grandfather.
 
Criminal driver’s license violation- 01/27/2019 @ 10:37AM near the 15900 block of Main Street NE: Officer stopped a vehicle and after investigating determined the driver had a suspended license. Due to current city filing standards the driver was advised he would receive an infraction for no valid license. The driver was advised not to drive and to contact DOL.
 
Directed speed- 01/28/2019 @ 5:03AM near the intersection of NE 141st Place/275th Ave. NE: Officer conducted an early morning stationary radar in residential area. Officer made two stops and both drivers had clean driving records. Officer gave warnings and education in lieu of fines.
 
Animal problem- 01/28/2019 @ 6:26Pm near the 26500 block of NE Cherry Valley Road: Report of cows on the loose.  Officers responded and found no cows loose...Are those critters learning to run back to their side of the fence when they see the police car?
 
Suspicious circumstance- 01/30/2019 @9:59AM near the intersection of NE big Rock Road/Main Street NE: Officer attempted to make a traffic stop on a suspicious vehicle committing multiple traffic violations. The vehicle then took off at a high rate of speed. Officer did not pursue, and was unable to determine who was driving the vehicle.
