On Saturday, Oct. 3, the CXC squad competed at the Sunfair Invite which is held at Franklin Park in Yakima.

This meet is an all-day affair. First race went off at 9:30 a.m. and the last race went off at 4 p.m.

That makes for a long day especially for those racing at the end of the day. For four of our racers, they had an even longer day. At 7:45, they arrived at West Valley H.S. outside of Yakima, did the SAT test for 4+ hours, then got to the race site about 1 p.m. and then did their race.

We showed some good running up front as well as good depth. The meet was considered a jamboree so team scores weren’t kept.
