The Sno-Valley Players are putting the final polish on their production of "Senior Moments." If your image of a senior citizen is granny knitting on the front porch, then you are in for a wonderful surprise. All performances are at the Sno-Valley Senior Center, located at 4610 Stephens Ave. in Carnation on its new raised stage which will afford improved viewing from all seats.
Opening night is Friday, Oct. 30, at 7 p.m., followed by a matinee on Sunday Nov. 1, at 2 p.m. Performances continue the next weekend Nov. 5-6 at 7 p.m. Doors open ½ hour before show-time and there will be a short intermission with refreshments available.
Tickets are $10 and are available at the Senior Center, Pete’s Club in Carnation, Carnation Corners in Carnation and EF Printing in Duvall.
The play is composed of three vignettes. "At Half Time" concerns itself with the hilarity encountered in the locker room at the halftime when the senior women’s basketball team is losing 59 to 3 to the Little Sisters of Mercy. "The Coffee Commercial" serves up fun and frivolity when an advertising director convinces two woman volunteers at the senior center bake sale to "Act" in a commercial.
"The Old Folks" follows an elderly couple’s comedic life as they encounter the trials of growing older together—at least some of the time.
All proceeds from this all-volunteer production go to support the programs and services of the Sno-Valley Senior Center.
