Community to remember longtime Riverview employee Ralph Thompson

  • Written by Valley View Staff

Ralph was a loving and devoted father of two children, Dennis and Deborah, three granddaughters, Kaylah, Sarah and Samantha; and life partner to Judith Solo.

One of 10 children (Bob, Ralph, Randy, Daniel, Gary, Stormy, Heidi, Cynthia, Sally and Tracy), Ralph was born May 19, 1942 to Ralph Moore Thompson  and Doris M Sundholm.

Ralph worked for the Riverview School District for 35 years; he loved his job at Cherry Valley Elementary.

He was also a member of Frihet lodge 401 and dedicated to Vasa Park.

Ralph was a jack of all trades, always eager to help his fellow man.

Nothing was more important to him than his family and friends. He is greatly loved and missed. Ralph lost his battle with cancer on Dec. 5, 2011.

The family invites those who knew him to join them in  a celebration of his life.
