Colton Green to compete for Chapman University

Cedarcrest High School senior Colton Green has recently finalized plans to attend and compete for Chapman University, located in Orange, California.

Colton is interested in studying business and psychology. He will run cross country and track and field for the Panthers.
The 2015 season will be the first season in which Chapman will have a men’s track and field program.

(Courtesy photo)Chapman University participates as a member of the NCAA Division III, a level of collegiate athletics where athletic scholarships are not awarded to prospective students.

As a member of the CXC squad, Colton was a member of two state qualifying cross country teams, including the 2013 season where the squad placed 3rd at the state meet.

As a member of the CHS T&F squad, Colton is having a breakout senior season. He is now on all on three of the team top ten lists for distance events.

Colton is one of only five boys in school history to run sub 4:25 for the 1600m as well as one of only five boys in school history to run sub 10:00 for the 1600m.
