The Woodinville Farmers Market (WFM) announces the opening of its 17th season on May 1 in a new downtown location. The market will set up on 133rd Ave. NE between Fortunato’s and City Hall.
"This keeps us downtown near the Carol Edwards Center and Woodinville fields while opening up a little bit of parking," commented Michael Charlton,WFM board president.
The Farmers Market will be open every Saturday from May 1 to October 9 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Early-season participants will include many talented local artisans, flower vendors, plant growers, local honey, baked goods and some early season crops from local farmers.
"With the mild winter, we are expecting our soft fruit vendors to bring their crops a few weeks earlier this year," said Grant Davidson, long-time manager of the market. "Visitors can also expect this year’s produce to be especially abundant. We are excited about helping local residents eat fresh, eat local, and eat well."
Several special events are planned this year and are listed on the market’s Web site: www.WoodinvilleFarmersMarket.com.
