BANNER BANK TO HOST SHRED DAY AND FOOD DRIVE IN WOODINVILLE

WOODINVILLE, Wash. – Banner Bank is helping to raise awareness about identity theft prevention by hosting a Shred Day on Saturday, June 12^th from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at their Woodinville Branch, located at 17530 132^nd Avenue NE. 

            Consumers are invited to bring sensitive documents, as well as folders, notebooks, notepads, newsprint, and any recyclable paper material to be destroyed at no charge.  In order to accommodate as many people as possible, there is a limit of nine grocery bags or six banker boxes per customer.

Representatives from Banner Bank will be on hand during the event to answer questions and provide valuable information about preventing identity theft from the Washington State Attorney General’s Office, Federal Trade Commission and the Woodinville Police Department. 

“Identity theft is the fastest growing crime of our time, but it can be avoided by protecting your personal information,” said Kathy Kill, Woodinville Branch Manager for Banner Bank.  “We are proud to host this worthwhile and informative event and we hope that the resources made available will help consumers avoid identity theft in the future.”

The Woodinville Banner Bank Branch will also be accepting non perishable food items for Hopelink.  Consumers are encouraged to bring canned food and dry goods along with their sensitive documents to the Shred Day.
