New_posterWoodinville High School’s music department wraps up a busy school year with "An Evening at the Pops" on Thursday, May 26. The concert promises to be an evening filled with tunes to satisfy nearly every musical taste. Scheduled to perform are WHS’s concert choir, jazz ensemble, orchestra, percussion ensemble and wind ensemble. The concert also serves as a farewell to the nearly 40 seniors who have been part of the music program for the past four years.

The spring pops concert will feature patriotic, pop, Broadway and jazz numbers, plus a tribute to John Williams’ most memorable movie themes. Once again, the show will take place in the auditorium at Northshore Baptist Church in Bothell. Seating at most of the tables on the floor has been sold to families of the student performers, but there is plenty of room available at the balcony level. General admission tickets are just $5 and will be available at the door.

Steve Stevens, choral director, and Eric Lucas, director of instrumental music and performance, will be honored at the concert for their dedication and encouragement.
