Clean-up event planned for June 11 in Carnation

A special spring recycling collection/cleanup event is planned for Saturday, June 11, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. (or until full) at the Carnation Bible Church, 32615 NE 45th St. Carnation. Sponored by the City of Carnation, Washington State Department of Ecology, King County Solid Waste Division and the local Hazardous Waste Management Program in King County. The event is open to all.

RECYCLABLE MATERIALS COLLECTED:

Fluorescent lights (50¢ each) Oil and Oil Filters Antifreeze Lead Acid Vehicle Batteries, household batteries Passenger Tires ($2 each off rim; $3 on rim; more $ for truck tires) Reusable Household Goods and Clothing (no furniture or items needing repair) Refrigerators and Freezers ($30 fee each) Major Appliances without CFC units Ferrous and non-ferrous Scrap Metal Electronics ( $5-$10) CPU’s, TV’s, monitors and laptops – FREE

NO PLASTIC PLANT POTS OR PACKING PEANUTS:

We reserve the right to refuse oversize or contaminated loads. No dump trucks or flat beds.

No garbage, construction or demolition debris.
