35th annual Evergreen Classic Benefit Horse Show Aug 10-14

  • Written by Valley View Staff

Both equine enthusiasts and first-time show spectators won’t want to miss the Evergreen Classic Benefit Horse Show, the Northwest’s premier equestrian competition, August 10th through 14th, at Remlinger Farms Equestrian Park in Carnation. Admission is free; onsite parking is $5/day.

The show features the region’s top-performing hunter/jumper riders across six arenas — plus food, wine, shopping and more. Proceeds from the Classic benefit Little Bit Therapeutic Riding Center, a Woodinville-based nonprofit long dedicated to improving the health and spirit of children and adults with disabilities through the unique benefits of equine-assisted activities.

A horse’s rhythm and three-dimensional movement pattern helps to improve the muscle tone, balance, and circulation in riders who, when not on a horse, experience limited mobility due to their diagnoses.

Spectators at this year’s Classic will enjoy:

• Movie Night at the Classic

Saturday, Aug. 13 at 6 p.m., the WHJF will offer a screening of the IFC award-winning movie, "Buck." The screening will be held in the Eddie Bauer barn (near the Legacy Grand Hunter Field). Enjoy Anita’s Crepes and popcorn while you watch this amazing movie. Suggested donation – $10 per ticket.
