The City of Duvall is seeking applicants to fill a position on the Duvall City Council.
Interested citizens are encouraged to apply. Applications are due by 4:30 p.m. on August 15, 2011.
In order to be eligible for a city council seat, a person must be a registered voter of the city at the time of filing his/her declaration of candidacy and have been a resident of the city for at least one year.
City Council meetings are held the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month at 7 p.m. preceded by a workshop at 6 p.m. Regular attendance at council and committee meetings is required. There are often additional council committee meetings that require attendance.
Interested parties are required to submit a city application packet. Application packets are available on the city’s web page, www.duvallwa.gov and at City Hall, 15535 Main Street NE.
This is a temporary appointment and the applicant will be appointed at the August 25, 2011 City Council meeting, and will hold the position until approximately the first week of December 2011.
