Fresh Paint Art Festival

On August 20-21 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Everett Marina (1700 West Marine View Drive) will be lined with artists creating, selling and demonstrating art at the 15th annual Fresh Paint: Festival of Artists at Work. Admission and parking are free. From glass and painting to jewelry and mixed media, Fresh Paint has unique gifts and fine art from 75 regional artists, including this year’s featured poster artist Ron Stocke. The weekend provides an opportunity to watch talented glass artists Dan and Joi LaChaussee, Merrilee Moore, and Cristy Aloysi and Scott Graham demonstrate glassblowing. You could also create your own fused glass masterpiece with Janet Foley, watch Steve Dalton throw a ceramic pot, get a photography lesson from Randall Hodges.

On the Saturday morning of Fresh Paint our 4th annual Float Find will take place on nearby Jetty Island. Kick off your shoes and walk this sandy beach in search of your very own glass sea float. Visitors may take the ferry from the 10th Street Park to Jetty Island starting at 8:30 a.m., but the beach will not open for this mad hunt until 10 a.m.
