Share Sno-Valley Tilth Pig Roast and Country Auction at Jubilee Farm will be held Saturday, Sept. 24, from 3-8:30 p.m. All funds raised will benefit local agriculture. www.snovalleytilth.org. The “greased pole” will challenge the strong and brave with prizes at the top; Sarah from Oxbow Farm will organize farm games for the kids. Farmer Erick will give rides on his hay wagon and Andrew Stout from Full Circle Farm will be cooking up some great organic local pit roasted pork, corn on the cob and roast potatoes.Local farms are contributing delicious vegetables for some great salads, including a warm vegetarian option.This will all be finished with berry cobblers served with vanilla ice cream donated by CC’s in Duvall. Piccola Wines will be serving Washington wines and beer will be on tap. Throughout the afternoon enjoy a silent auction for hundreds of items of donated local art, gifts, gift certificates, services, experiences. Dinner will be followed by a live auction featuring experiences including an overnight stay in a tree house, a painting titled “Snoqualmie Valley Farmhouse” a cord of seasoned firewood, a birthday party on a farm, a private tutoring on how to butcher your own chickens, a private guided wild edibles walk, a season of CSA boxes from Oxbow Farm. The evening will finish with hootenanny music with a bit of square dance, and a bit hoedown for all. Tickets are $20 and include dinner, children 12 and under free. www.snovalleytilth.org.
