14th annual dinner and pie auction Nov. 19

CARNATION–The Sno-Valley Senior Center remodeling is progressing on schedule, thanks in part to the wonderful fall weather the area has been enjoying (up until last Friday).

While the building is closed during the project, the center continues to offer all its regular, low-cost  programs at the Don Bosco facility south of town: the  made-from-scratch lunch, terrific exercise options, health-providing care such as reflexology, chiropractic care and naturopath visits, and day trips and outings. The calendar lists all the options available.

The center will hold its 14th annual dinner and pie auction Saturday, Nov. 19 at the Carnation Elementary School.

There will be over 150 fresh baked pies up for auction. Entrees include choice of baby back ribs or walnut dijon-crusted salmon. Seatings are 4:30 and 6:30 p.m. Cost $15.

Reservations are recommended. Call (425) 333-4152 or purchase tickets online.

The current remodeling phase of the Senior Center building on Stephens Avenue includes placing trusses atop the soon-to-be second story bathrooms and storage.

Those interested are encouraged to stop by the center to catch weekly updates on construction progress, or “like” the center on facebook to see regular photos and updates.
