At Cedarcrest High School teacher Amy Blooming is proud to share the very impressive work of four of her “brave and slightly crazed creative writing students” who took up the challenge of writing a 50,000-word novel entirely during the month of November. This month long writing project comes from the “National Novel Writing Month” challenge, dubbed “NANOWRIMO.”
CHS senior students, Cody Paxman, DJ Bergquist, Ryan Harjo and Nik Werner were joined by thousands of other “tenacious typists” worldwide. All of these dedicated, impassioned students started writing at midnight on November 1 and wrote day and night, until November 30.
“All the while (they kept)up with the rest of their studies and sports. These renegade raconteurs cranked out their tomes, ranging from 55 to over 200 pages long,” exclaims Ms. Blooming, “ I congratulate them on their amazing accomplishment.”
