ShareA.J Dedios, Zack Gracia, Everett Bingisser, Ryan Christensen and Jake Hollister will make their way to MatClassic XXII this Friday.
“Yeah, five guys including three sophomores,” coach Shaker Culpepper said. “Pretty cool.” Dedios placed second at regionals at Rogers High School in Puyallup on Saturday, Gracia placed fourth and Bingisser fifth. Hollister placed second in his weight class. Christensen, however, took home the whole ball of wax, like he does, extending his glittering record to 40-0 with a date with 160-pound defending 4A state champion Chandler Rogers of Mead still to come. Rogers, also, is a sophomore. “It’s gonna be a great one and wrestling people are really looking forward to it,” Culpepper said. “We haven’t seen two guys like this for a long time — maybe ever ...”
