Chef Chad McKenzie (center) from The Creekside, A Merrill Gardens Community, took over kitchen duty at three fire stations in Woodinville recently to honor Matt Roodzant, who was tragically killed in a car accident. While fellow firefighters attended the services,Bothell crews covered Station 31, including Adam Lamb, Kirk Robinson, Jason Emerson, Kelly Cross and Butch Noble (shown above with Chef Chad)

who made a great lunch for the firefighters when they returned from the services.  But there’s more to the story: During the recent snowstorm McKenzie’s home burned down and Roodzant was the first firefighter on the scene. In addition, Roodzant was at Creekside frequently and was well known and respected by both the straff and residents.
