  • Written by Woodinville Weekly Staff

Tickets are selling quickly to Passport to Woodinville, one of Washington’s favorite wine country weekends.

The annual spring event, held this year Saturday, April 21, and Sunday, April 22, from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m., offers wine lovers an opportunity to swirl, sip and sample their way through an exciting array of new and current releases at more than 30 participating Woodinville wineries.

Tickets are $65 for a two-day pass, $55 for Sunday only now through March 25.

After March 25, a two-day ticket will sell for $75; a one-day pass increases to $65. Tickets are only available on-line at brownpapertickets.com.

Named one of “America’s 50 Most Amazing Wine Experiences” by Food & Wine magazine, Passport to Woodinville offers Washington wine lovers the opportunity to experience Woodinville’s booming wine scene.

Ticket holders receive a glass and passport, allowing one-time entry to participating wineries.  No passport is required for designated drivers, and for the first time this year, participants may purchase an additional Shuttle Express ticket for $10 to use for travel between participating wineries.

“Woodinville is one of Washington’s fastest growing wine country destinations because of the quality of the wines and its close proximity to Seattle,” notes marketing coordinator Gretchen Smith.  “The area has attracted a talented group of vintners, including some of the Washington’s most experienced winemakers as well as small, family-run operations born out of a passion for Washington wine,” she says.

This year’s Passport to Woodinville participants to date include Airfield Estates Winery, Anton Ville Winery, Apex at Alder Ridge, Brian Carter Cellars, Chateau Ste. Michelle, Columbia Winery, Convergence Zone Cellars, Covington Cellars, Davenport Cellars, Des Voigne Cellars, Domaine Ste. Michelle, Elevation Cellars, Fill Hill Winery, Goose Ridge Estate Winery, J.
