|The Creekside celebrates Poetry Month April 18|

The Creekside, a Merrill Gardens Retirement Community in Woodinville, in cooperation with PoetsWest, a Seattle-based literary organization, offers a free community celebration of National Poetry Month and National Cowboy Poetry Week at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 18.
The western-themed program features Woodinville poet, Clark Crouch, author of eight books ofwestern poetry and self-proclaimed poet lariat, and Lynn Kopelke of Cumberland who is a poet, guitarist, and current president of the Columbia Chapter of the Western Music Association.
The program also includes other regional poets sharing their poetry at an open mic.
Cowboy VerseSam, a backward cowboy poet,was challenged by a cursebecause each of the poems he wrotewound up to be inverse.
The public is invited to attend the family-oriented event at The Creekside, 18200 Woodinville-Snohomish Rd NE in Woodinville, at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 18.
