In preparation for the third annual Iron Vintner Challenge (IVC), this year Willows Lodge (14580 NE 145th St. in Woodinville) will host a series of cooking classes during Happier Hour at Fireside Cellars on select Wednesdays (May 2, 9, 23 and 30) from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
Guests can sip wine and learn culinary tips from expert Executive Chef Bobby Moore and past IVC participants. The classes are free. Classes are as follows:
• Wednesday, May 2 – Pouring with Chris Sparkman, Sparkman Cellars (2011 participant)
• Wednesday, May 9 – Matt Davis, Barking Frog wine director, cooking with Chris Gorman, Gorman Winery (2011’s Iron Vintner)
• Wednesday, May 23 – Cooking with Chris Upchurch, DeLille Cellars (2011 participant)
• Wednesday, May 30 – Cooking with Mark McNeilly, Mark Ryan Winery (2010
