DUVALL–Twice Blessed, located on Valley Street, is a new children’s consignment store that opened the first of April.

Brandon and Amanda Jones own and operate the store with  their five kids, Cassidy, Luke, Samantha, Simon and baby Elizabeth, all of which are home schooled. Once you meet this family, you will never forget them. They are generous, unassuming, genuine and happy.  Their business is just as warm and welcoming as they are.

The Joneses have lived in Duvall for four years. For them, that is a record – four years is the longest they have lived in one town.  They have totally fallen in love with Duvall and plan to stay here.   They own a little farm in Duvall called Peaceful Acres, which is home to 41 chickens, a duck, goats, sheep, two cats a dog and bunnies.

The name Twice Blessed was picked for a couple of reasons, the first being their surprise child, baby Elizabeth, who was born exactly eight years to the day, on their son Simon’s birthday. Having been out of the “baby business” for seven years, they were showered with everything they needed, from friends and family.

Because of everyone’s generosity, they realized how much people had to give.  They wanted to give people an outlet to clean out and give back locally. They decided they could accomplish this as a family, and have dad home to spend more time with the kids and on the farm.  It would also teach the kids about entrepreneurship and giving back to the community.

Their goal was to open a consignment store that would sell quality baby and children’s clothes, gear, sports equipment and sports uniform accessories.

However, their purpose was and is much bigger than just helping people save within their own family budgets. They wanted to be a part of the community of Duvall and to offer a wonderful place for families to reinvent and share what they already have, and to initiate a spirit of giving back.

Twice Blessed donates 10 percent of their profits to charity. They support Hopelink, Acres of Diamonds and Special Delivery. They also have a Wall of Fame, where they post pictures and stories from local children, who have made a difference in the Duvall community.

Twice Blessed is a special and unique addition to Duvall.  Brandon, Amanda and all of their kids would love for you to stop by and say hi, and do a little shopping.

They also encourage you to drop off items to consign, Thursday – Saturday. Their current hours are M-Sat. 10-6.  They are also open the first Sunday of the month and plan to have special events on the Sundays they are open. Last month they had a petting zoo.
