Spend the day at Molbak’s and learn all about shade gardening from the experts.  Susie Egan, owner of Cottage Lake Gardens, will present a free seminar, “No Sun? No Problem! Gardening for Shade” on Saturday, July 14, 10 – 11 a.m.  Egan will explore the different levels of shade and discuss which shade and woodlands plants not only perform well in the shade, but prefer it.  Members of the Hardy Fern Foundation will also be onsite 11a.m. – 12:30 p.m. to answer questions and provide advice on hardy fern care and culture.

Exploring Washington’s Scenic Drives & Hikes

Join veteran hiker and author, Seabury Blair Jr., for a free seminar and book signing at Molbak’s on Saturday, July 14, noon – 1 p.m.  Blair, author of the  new book “Wild Roads Washington: 80 Scenic Drives to Camping, Hiking Trails and Adventures” and popular “Creaky Knees Guidebooks,” will show you a few of his favorite forest roads that take you into the lush landscape of  Washington state. These lesser known drives surprise the traveler with stunning vistas, and he’s outline hikes off each route.  Book signing to follow.

Wine tasting at Molbak’s to benefit Celebrate Woodinville Concerts in the Park

Woodinville Chamber of Commerce, Molbak’s and Woodinville Warehouse Wineries are hosting  a July wine tasting event benefiting the new Celebrate Woodinville Concerts in the Park series. Chamber volunteers will be on hand to share more details about this exciting, family-friendly community event you won’t want to miss.Stop by Molbak’s on Saturday, July 14 from 2 – 4 p.m. and, for a $10 tasting fee, enjoy five wine pours.  Participating wineries include:  Alta Cellars, Gard Vintners and Piccola Wine Company – all participants in the popular Woodinville Warehouse Wineries’ monthly Third Thursday Wine Walk on July 19.  No registration necessary, wine glasses provided. Tickets for the July 19 Wine Walk will also be on sale.  The Molbak’s wine tasting event benefits The Greater Woodinville Chamber of Commerce and the Celebrate Woodinville Concerts in the Park to be held this summer at Wilmot Gateway Park.
