Free Savvy Gardener Class and Master Gardener Clinic

  • Written by Woodinville Weekly Staff

The next class in the Savvy Gardener series being held at Woodinville Water District is “Drought Tolerant Beauties for Sunny Spots” taught by Peggy Campbell, horticulturist.  Campbell will share fun, practical tips and environmentally friendly solutions which she has been putting into practice in her own garden for 20+ years. Her easy-care garden rewards her with something in bloom almost every week of the year.

The class will be held from 10 - 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 21, at Woodinville Water District’s public meeting room in Building A at 17238 NE Woodinville-Duvall Road, Woodinville.  Attendance is free, but pre-registration is necessary due to space limitations. You can register at or call (425) 487-4102. This class is sponsored by the Saving Water Partnership and Cascade Water Alliance. You can see a listing of all the classes on the web at  Click on the Savvy Gardener logo.  If you do not have access to the internet and would like more information, please call Woodinville Water District at (425) 487-4100.

A Master Gardener Clinic will also be held for a half hour prior to and after the class. You can come to the Master Gardener Clinic even if you are not able to attend the class. Attendees are encouraged to bring samples of diseased plants or pest specimens (in a plastic bag or other container) for identification or diagnosis, including recommendations on how to deal with them in the least toxic way.  If you cannot come in person, you can also email questions to the Master Gardeners E-Clinic at This email address is being protected from spambots.
