Patterson Cellars opens second tasting room

Patterson Cellars, headquartered in the Woodinville Winery Warehouse District, has opened a second flagship tasting room in the Hollywood Hill area. Located on the main roundabout intersection a block from Willows Lodge, it’s hard to miss the Tuscan-style stone facade that has been erected on the site (14505 148th Avenue NE, Woodinville). The property was a Chevron station for many years that has now been divided into two winery tasting rooms, Gorman Winery and the Station Pizzeria that provides wood-fired pizza.

Patterson’s new digs lead inside to a beautiful tasting room with a spacious curved tasting bar, indoor and outdoor fireplaces, plus high vaulted ceilings, exposed wood beams, hand-blown glass fixtures, complete with seating under a beautiful covered trellis patio.  A grand opening party is planned for August 24-26 from noon to 6 p.m. Tastings, including current releases and the new 2011 Late Harvest Roussanne, will be available along with  complimentary house-made gelato prepared by poaching pears in the 2011 Late Harvest Roussanne with candied ginger provided by the Station Pizzeria. An $8 tasting fee will be refunded with purchase. For information: (425) 483-8600 or
