New playground equipment for two parks, horse shelter at Dougherty Farm, thanks to Eagle Scout projects

  • Written by Valley View Staff

The City of Duvall recently partnered with two Eagle Scouts – 16-year-olds Josh Brown and Joshua Beaver – who completed two separate playgrounds at Hix Park and Big Rock Ball Field.

The boys are neighbors; they each went to the City Council to propose their ideas.

Two other Eagle Scouts – Keaton Estes and Jacob Hill – constructed horse shelters at the Dougherty Farmstead.

Also happening at the Farmstead, the pea patch is active and Americorps VISTA has sponsored an employee to help with Plant a Row for the  local food bank.
