A Woodinville girl gets quite the handful outside Barnes & Noble at its Pet Palooza event on Saturday. B&N Community Relations Manager Lindsay Larin theorized gorgeous weather was the reason for the sparse turnout which featured a story reading by children’s author Carol S. Hervin, a food drive, as well as a few Homeward Pet dogs for adoption at an outdoor booth manned by volunteers in the blazing sunshine. “She’s smaller than my cat,” the young girl giggled.
