Woodinville Fire offering $5 CPR classes, open house

  • Written by David Weed, WF&R Community Services Officer
Woodinville Fire & Rescue (WF&R) is celebrating Fire Prevention Week from October 8–13. This year’s theme is “Have Two Ways Out!” and focuses on families developing a home fire escape plan.

• Fire crews will be outside of various area stores throughout the week to distribute home escape planning materials to children and families.

• In addition to the focus on fire safety, Woodinville Fire & Rescue is also offering CPR/AED classes for $5 at 7 p.m. on Monday, October 8, and Thursday, Oct 11.

These classes are American Heart Association certification classes. Space is limited to 24 people in each class. To register, call (425) 483-2131.

• On Friday, October 12, the public is invited to visit any of the Woodinville fire stations.

From 6-8 p.m. all three Woodinville stations (headquarters, Cottage Lake, and Bear Creek) will be hosting an open house and hot dog barbeque. This is a great opportunity to meet your local firefighters, tour the stations and vehicles and learn about fire safety for the entire family.
