On October 11, 2012, Erv went home to be with the Lord. He passed away in his sleep of an unknown illness.
He was born on November 15, 1935, in Duvall Wash.
He is survived by his wife Josephine in Yuma, Ariz., where they currently resided. He is also survived by his sons: Tom, Jerry, Jim and David; his daughters, Kelly and her husband Robert, Allison and her husband Ricardo, Rebecca and Kathy and his brother Mel; sisters ,Annette and Barbara. ,
Erv was the grandfather of 14 grandkids and 17 great- grandkids.
He graduated from Sedro Woolley High School in 1954 and then enlisted in the Air Force and served for four years.
Erv served as councilman and the mayor of Duvall for 25 years, He owned Duvall Cash & Carry Lumber for 14 years and was a volunteer fireman on the Duvall Fire Department for 25 years.
After serving so many years for the City of Duvall, June 6 was named “Erv Harder Appreciation Day.”
He was a great man, leader, friend, father and will be missed by many.
